Samsung Galaxy S25 HQ+ Display Review
The Galaxy S25 comes with the same screen as the Galaxy S24. It features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1080 x 2300 pixels. You still get smooth scrolling with its 120Hz refresh rate and vibrant colors thanks to HDR10+ support.
There’s a small punch-hole for the front camera, and the screen is protected by tough Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Samsung says the screen’s peak brightness remains at 2,600 nits, just like last year. Our tests confirmed this – there are no real upgrades in the display department compared to the S24.

When adjusting brightness manually, we measured 438 nits normally and up to 747 nits with the brightness boost on. That’s actually a bit dimmer than what we saw on both the Galaxy S24 and S23.
With auto-brightness in very bright conditions, the Galaxy S25 reached up to 1,395 nits – roughly the same as the Galaxy S24 and better than the S23.
At the lowest setting, the screen brightness can drop to just 1 nit, which is excellent for using the phone in the dark without straining your eyes.
In short: The Galaxy S25’s display is still excellent, but it hasn’t improved over the previous model.
