Big News: UPSC CAPF Exam Date 2025 Officially Released!
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the CAPF Exam Date 2025. Candidates who applied for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandant posts must note the key details to stay on track.
The exam will be held on 4th August 2025 (Sunday). The admit card is expected to be released in the third week of July 2025 on upsc.gov.in.

What Is the CAPF Exam?
The CAPF (AC) exam is conducted every year by UPSC for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in India’s paramilitary forces:
- Border Security Force (BSF).
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
It is a Group A Gazetted Officer level job, with strong pay, respect, and promotion opportunities.

CAPF Exam 2025: Selection Process
The full selection process has four stages:
- Written Exam
- Paper I (General Ability and Intelligence) – Objective – 250 Marks
- Paper II (General Studies, Essay and Comprehension) – Descriptive – 200 Marks
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Includes running, push-ups, long jump, etc.
- Medical Test
Vision, hearing, BMI, etc.
- Interview / Personality Test
150 Marks
The final merit list is based on the total marks of Written + Interview.
