What’s the latest? New Exam Date and Admit Cards

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is conducting the Phase-13 Selection Post Exam 2025 to fill 2,423 government vacancies. Around 29.4 lakh candidates had applied, including 10.2 lakh for graduate-level posts, 7.08 lakh for 12th-level, and 12.09 lakh for 10th-level posts.

This exam was initially held from 24th July to 2nd August 2025, but due to technical glitches, SSC decided to conduct a re-examination for about 55,000–59,500 affected candidates on 29th August 2025.

SSC has already released the city slip (which tells you your exam city/centre) from 22nd August 2025, and the re-exam admit cards will be available from 26th August 2025.

Who Needs to Appear Again?

While the exam is not cancelled for everyone, about 2,500 candidates from specific centres are being called for a retest separately, as confirmed by the SSC chairman.

Exam Pattern & What’s in It for You

This exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) made of 100 multiple-choice questions, carrying 200 marks2 per question. You’ll get 60 minutes (or 80 minutes if you’re a PwBD candidate using a scribe).

The four sections are:

  1. General Intelligence / Reasoning
  2. General Awareness / Knowledge
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. English Language

Each section has 25 questions, 50 marks each. There’s a negative marking of 0.5 marks per wrong answer.

This recruitment aims to fill 2,423 posts across various ministry and department roles—including Group B and Group C non-technical positions.

Applications were accepted from 2 to 23 June 2025, with a correction window open from 28 to 30 June.
